Avatar: Water Road Finally – after only 13 years of waiting. For some, it might be crazy to think that it’s been over a decade since the public’s last trip to Pandora. Although there may have been others who felt every part of their long pregnancies. Like the audience at large, the stars of the franchise themselves were also looking forward to James Cameron’s sci-fi follow-up. However, they’ve all been busy since the first movie was released, as evidenced by their feature filmography. On that note, CinemaBlend has put Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, and their co-stars to the test by having them guess how many films they’ve done since 2009.
CinemaBlend’s Sean O’Connell sat down with the cast during water method Click on the joint. During the chats, he asked if the stars knew how many big screen shows they’d been in since the first movie in James Cameron’s planned epic. When the question was put to Sigourney Weaver, who plays KerryShe admitted that she hadn’t, before knowing that she had done 24 films in that time period. Then she gave an interesting answer:
Cool, and I was trying not to work because I kept thinking, ‘Avatar is going to start, and I need to be ready. You know, I want to be in shape and everything. So this is really amazing.
Sigourney Weaver clearly knew filming would be a challenge, and that turned out to be true. Like her fellow stars, Weaver had to practice for the water-related work that was essential to the production and ultimately led to its colossal success. The same is also true of Miles Quaritch actor Stephen Lang, who has made 38 films since the first installment in the franchise. The veteran actor was asked if he feels like he’s done that hard work since then and he dropped an honest answer:
Yes, I don’t know how you feel. I mean, you know, they’re like footsteps in a block of ice on a hot day. They just disappear for me.
Zoe Saldana and Sam Worthington, who portray Neytiri and Jake Sully, have also been busy, with the former being 22 and 25 the latter. Saldaña quipped that she thought it was only five, while Worthington said his 21 “never came out.” Saldaña has, of course, starred in a number of blockbusters, two of which were released at the time — Avengers: Infinity War And the game over – among the highest-grossing films of all time symbol picture. The actress went on to discuss her good fortune and what it means to be able to grow in the entertainment industry:
There is a great deal of gratitude, and I know I speak for Sam as well in that sense. The Avatar experience has been a gift that keeps on giving. It’s not just the opportunities it has afforded us in our careers but also how we’ve developed as individuals. It shows how important it is for young people to meet their role models, work with their idols and learn from them.
These stars have certainly taken professional journeys that few actors have embarked on, and it’s great to see that they’re so aware of that fact. Of course, it’s not over yet, as there are three more symbol picture Two films were planned, each at a different stage of production. I’m excited to see how many flicks Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver and company can get between the releases of those installments.
